Deuteronomy 33:27- The eternal God is your dwelling place and underneath are the everlasting arms.
And I don’t know about you, but that sounds like the arms that will catch us when we fall.
I remember when my boy Noah was small. He played on the jungle gym.He would say mom, please catch me if I fall.And I would stretch out my arms and make sure that he will fall straight into my arms.
In Psalm37:23-24- There’s a beautiful passage where the psalmist says, The Lord directs the steps of the godly, He delights in every detail of their lives.Though they may stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
This reminds me of how I walked all 3 my son’s when they were younger. I made sure they don’t fall by holding them by the hand.
For me that’s such a comforting image.
“Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.”
Proverbs24:6- For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicket stumble when calamity strike.
Friends, Never forget
Though I fall, I will rise again
Though you fall, you will rise again
Though we fall, we will rise again
Who catches us when we fall?
Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed for the Lord is holding his hand.
For a Christian this is a wonderful experience to have our Savior reach out and catch us when we fall.
