He binds the minds of the unbelievers and steals the joy of believers.
The enemy has a plan for your life:To steal, kill and destroy.
The Bible cautions us to be alert. 1 Peter5:8- The devil wants to devour our lives, keeping us from the joy of living in a relationship with Jesus. Peter warns Christians of the reality of our enemy the devil, but also makes us aware of how we are to respond to this threat.
Spiritual Warfare
Ephesians 6:10- Finally be strong in the Lord and his mighty power.Put on the full armor of God, so you can take your stand against the devils schemes.
Satan the thief the destroyer
Satan plucks the word of God out of the people’s hearts and chokes their faith. Jesus told the parabble of four soils in Mark4:1-9 – In it, the seeds of the word of God is sown and some falls on the path and birds quickly take it away.He explains in verse 15 Satan immediately comes and take away the word which was sown to them.Satan snatches the word because he hates faith which the word produces.
Romans10:17- Consequently faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Luke 21-3- Jesus is calling us to wartime prayer: Watch at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape these things that will take place, and stand before the Son of man.
1Peter4:7- Peter makes an urgent call to the end-time prayer: The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self- controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.
And,of course, Jesus instructed us to make a daily weapon for protection in general:Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the successful temptation of the evil one.Even Jesus fought against on our behalf with the weapon of prayer. He said to Peter in Luke22:31-32- Satan has asked to have you that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. So Jesus illustrated for us the opposition of a specific satanic threat with prayer. Friends are we still praying the prayer out of Matthew 6:9-13-The Our Father
The question is not wheather you want to be in this war.
Ephesians 2:2- Tells us,Everyone is in it.Either we are defeated by the devil and follow, like cattle to the slaughter, the prince of power of the air.Resist him and stand firm in your faith. We either triumph by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, or you will be enslaved by Satan.
Therefore, “share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus and wage the good warfare.Praying without ceasing!”The Lord Jesus is no less a warrior today than in the days of old.So I urge you again:Come to him as willing soldiers the Prince of peace and learn to say, He trains my hands for war.
Jesus the life giver
